Today my father and I took a short trip up to Ockenden Ranch, near Shaver, CA, with the sole intent of doing some photography while the aspen trees still had leaves on them. The golden aspens were gorgeous! The weather was perfect as well. It was warm in the sun, with a slight crisp chill in the shade, with a mild breeze rustling the leaves of the trees and blowing them through the air.

Fall came quick this year and didnt leave much time to get up there while the leaves were full. Id guess that within another week, two at the very most, all of the leaves will be gone. Once again leaving behind the thin skeletal frames of the aspens in the center of a frozen pond.
