This was taken on a random road trip down to Yucca Valley, AZ with a couple friends. Along the way, we stopped here, The Imperial Sand Dunes. The sane here was amazingly fine and silky, warm on the surface, but freezing just a few inches beneath. We walked out a good half mile into the dunes, which doesnt seem that far, but the sand is very loose and difficult to walk through. Everyones tennis shoes were filled to the top with sand after the trip out and back except for me, I wore boots, as I always do. I wish we had stayed for the full sun set, but that was sadly something we only witnessed from the parking lot of a drive thru restaurant.
